Ananda Co-operative Bank Limited was established on the basic principle of Co-operative slogan “One for all - All for one “ in the year 1979 by a few like minded individuals of Sheshadripuram, Bangalore.This was also to encourage banking needs of lower and middle class people of savings habit and to create funds for providing financial aid facilities to deserving members and to freed from the clutches of private money lenders thrown open to all communities. The bank begin with 500 members, mobilised Share capital of Rs.12500 from them and also mobilized Deposits advances and disbursed dividend. For total deposit Rs 70 crores loans 38 crores total working capital 81 crores. At present deposit 73 crores loans 39 crores it had grown up to more than 10,000(share capital 2.5 crores) share holders and totally three branches which are mainly located with in Bangalore city branch at Basaveshwaranagar, Dr B.R.A.M.C Kadugondanahalli. It is not an exaggeration to say that wherever the Bank opened its branches, they were instant success.
